Did You Know That A Former “Top Model” Contestant Is A Burien Native?
Meet local Burienite Jenascia Chakos, who became a reality TV celebrity for her appearance on America’s Next Top Model in 2004 (gulp…sorry for the late notice – we don’t watch this show and just found the videos).
Here’s some fluff on your B-Town neighbor courtesy the internets:
Before she auditioned for America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 2, Jenascia worked as a waitress for Hooters in Seattle.
She enjoys watching The Family Guy and was greatly entertained by the musical film Moulin Rouge, starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.
She enjoys eating beef dishes.
In 2007, she gave birth to her first child.
Standing 5 feet, 7 inches, Jenascia was the shortest among the 12 Finalists in America’s Next Top Model, Cycle 2.
For the first photo shoot, Jenascia arrived three hours late because the other models did not wake her up when it was time to leave. She felt betrayed by all of them, especially by fellow Top Model finalist April, whom she had helped the day before. She was not eliminated for being tardy, but was cut out off the show on the fourth week after failing to compensate for her lack of height.
After the show, Jenascia went back to her old job as a waitress at a Hooter’s restaurant.
Even though we’re four years late, we figured that we aren’t the only ones who don’t watch this show, so here are some videos of your neighbor Jenascia from the show:
