Fresh espresso is “espressed” Monday at Burien Press’s new spot,
and through Tuesday (May 19th) they’re offering free lattes and goodies!

Our friends Erin and Mark at Burien Press (located at 423 SW 152nd Street, across from the new Town Square/City Hal) are having a “soft opening” Monday and Tuesday of this week, where they’re offering FREE lattes and samples of goodies from 8am to 6pm both days.

Here’s their announcement:

The Burien Press is opening the doors for some “public training” tomorrow, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19 from 8-6. Our baristas will be seasoning the machine, dialing in the grind, and practicing their latte art–so stop by for a free drink.

The Burien Press is located at 423 SW 152nd Street, in downtown Burien.

Hope to see you!

According to the staff, Burien Press has also activated their free wi-fi, so if you need a place to sit and surf The B-Town Blog and have some free stuff, get over there!

that sounds like good times.. i am a true coffee loyalist. unfortunately i'll have to miss it, as i will be dtown for school. i've worked in the service industry before & can appreciate a dry run. i wish you the best of luck on your 'soft opening'.

    Best coffee in Burien…by far!

This is the kind of coffee house Burien has been sorely missing. Don't expect a bunch of blended, flavored drinks…Burien has an abundance of places to go for that. Do expect a fantastic espresso beverage prepared the way it should be.

They have invested in a top-of-the-line Synesso espresso machine and all baristas are trained very well. The decor is also fantastic, with a killer deck in the back.

They offer pastries from Macrina Bakery and gourmet sandwiches to grab-and-go.

They are also open on Sundays, which is contrary to most businesses on that strip of retail.

The quality is miles ahead of Starbucks, as well as every other espresso establishment in the Burien area. You could drop this shop anywhere in Seattle and it would do well. I hope the people of Burien will check it out.

  3. Best in Burien and surrounding communities.

Today was my first visit to Burien Press. I am more than pleased with my experience.

The space: Beautiful, clean and very appealing to the eye. Simple design. The deck is gorgeous. I cannot wait to spend a Sunday in there (yes, I said Sunday – the hours on the door state 6am – 8pm 7 days a week) with coffee and a book.

Coffee: One word – Creamy! I'm an iced coffee drinker, but in order to get the best first taste of Burien Press, I ordered 2 drinks. A short mocha and a grande iced mocha. The short mocha was creamy & smooth, not too sweet, the perfect amount of coffee and chocolate. The iced mocha was more of the same. Creamy, smooth and refreshing.

My boyfriend ordered a macchiato. Also scrumptious and perfectly made.

I am instantly in love with this place and will not go anywhere else. Because they are open 7 days a week, I don't have to!

    Check it out for yourself!
