A new burger joint may be opening soon in Olde Burien – “B-Town Burgers & Shakes” is apparently taking over the space at 822 SW 152nd Street, next to Goodie Gumdrops, on the corner of Ambaum and SW 152nd where “Flat Majic Books & Gifts” was previously located:

According to their website, they’re slated to open in mid-November:

B-Town Burgers & Shakes

At B-Town Burgers, we believe fast food should be made from scratch. We start with 100% beef which is never frozen. Every burger is made to order. At B-Town Burgers there are no heat lamps or microwaves. Your french fries are cooked from fresh potatoes and are peeled and diced in the store. At B-Town Burgers we only use the highest quality, freshest ingredients to make the world’s most delicious burgers and fries. B-Town Burger — always fresh, always delicious.

“Delighting Customers with Burgers, Fries and Shakes”

Opening in November 2009

No word yet on whether you’ll be able to get free Tarot Card readings when you order a “Happy Psychic Meal,” but we wonder:

  • Could this be another good sign for Burien’s economy?
  • Could it also be a good sign for use of the nickname “B-Town”?
  • Would you like fries with that?

Cant wait! While most of the burgers found in Olde Burien are good (Mick Kellys, EB Brew and Tin Room) I look forward to more great burger action.

isn’t it interesting that new businesses are renovating older store fronts and not moving into b-town square?

hey b-town square, i think it’s time to do burien a favor and lower the prices for local business.

  4. Andrew says:

Maybe I can put some minds at rest. We plan to open on the 1st of Nov, however it always cost more and takes longer than anticipated so we will see how we progress. We will absolutly be kid friendly. we want a place for all our kids to hang. We will be having a limited menu also a help your self sodas . homemade fries, basic burger with fresh hamburger meat and a bacon cheeseburger, Our burgers will come with secret sauce, lettuce tomatoes on a kaiser bun which stays together when you eat it. I invite any comments or ideas you may like to see. Hope to see you all soon..

      • Keith says:

So glad you are opening and within walking distance from my house.

I was however totally saddened this weekend to see that you will be closing down the BTown Scoop. Will you be offering your awesome ice cream at the new burger place?

  6. burger fan says:

    who dices french fries!

  7. Rob says:

Cant wait another great place to have lunch in Burien. Wonder if the town square will ever have a great place to eat?

    • Tony says:

Higly unlikely. they should offer more incentives to attract more business. Burien wont be able to compete with Ballard but I’m sure we can come pretty close.

      • Rainycity says:

What am I missing here, compete with Ballard??
Why in the world would you want to compete with Ballard?
Maybe Burien needs its own identity like it used to have.

there is an awesome german restaurant called bratz opening in b town square in a couple of weeks. The place is called bratz – gourmet german food. Its across the street from Sals deli on 6th ave. I keep driving by to see if the’re open yet. I go to their store in the university district all the time, the food is addicting, fresh grilled authentic bratz, fresh baked pretzels, german schnitzel with red cabbage and spaetzle, all made fresh to order, quick and really good priced too. Their U distric store has a real fun atmosphere, cant wait to see how this store turns out. They get nothing but good reviews on yelp too..check it out…..

  8. Tony says:

  9. Ernie and Vera says:

  10. yonathan says:

  11. Hellpig says:

Word on the street is Btown Burger was caught stealing ideas from Zippy Burger…I went anyways ..over priced, and poorly constructed burgers at best…you clearly didnt steal any ideas from Zippy….if you are in Burien goto CC’s for a better and cheaper burger or dirve for the best in south seattle and stand in line at Zippy’s
