Burien Parks & Recreation Department will be moving into its new facility, the one-time “old library” building located at 14700 6th Avenue SW, on Tuesday, April 13th.

In order to accommodate the move, the parks & rec folks will be closed this Friday, April 9, as well as Monday, April 12. Their regular hours (Mon-Thurs. 8:30am-8pm and Fri., 8:30am-5pm) will resume after they’re all settled in to their new digs.

Note also that they’ll be holding an Open House on Saturday, May 15th from 1pm–3pm.

Total reported cost of the building’s renovation was just under $1.5 million.
