A new, one-of-a-kind first-time vendor is at today’s Burien Farmers Market, and despite deceptively looking like a food truck, the Humane Society’s bright yellow “MaxMobile” RV will be here until 3pm, adopting out three dogs, six cats and even one bunny rabbit.

The bright, 33-foot, custom-built yellow RV is located at the south end of 5th Ave SW, providing pet adoptions right here, on the spot – all you have to do is fill out a form, pay a fee and you can leave the market with a new friend.

According to the Humane Society’s website:

Our MaxMobile (affectionately known as “Max”) has traveled all over Seattle and King County bringing adoptable dogs and cats to schools, shopping malls, community events and festivals! Max has also been featured at the Seattle Humane Society’s Adventure Day Camp for kids, and at Catapalooza, our annual Cat Adoption Extravaganza. f you’d like Max to come visit your school, event, or community group, please email [email protected]

Here are some pics taken by Scott Schaefer of “Max” and its cute, furry inhabitants:

I can’t help myself… Is this what Discover Burien meant when they said there will be a Meat Vendor at the Farmer’s Market???

Those kitties look so cute! I wish that I could go to this but I have already got other plans. I really hope that there are people that will give those animals a good home.
