Burien’s Business & Economic Development Group Has Open Position

The City of Burien has a position open on its Business and Economic Development Partnership (BEDP) Group, and is now accepting applications through July 9th.

Applicants may be Burien residents or others with an interest in Burien.

The purpose of the BEDP is “to provide guidance and direction to the City Council on Burien’s future economic development through review of and recommendations for improvement to the economic development component of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and to advise the City Council on other economic development programs and priorities.”

According to the city’s website:

All advisory board appointments are made by the City Council for four-year terms.

This position will fill a vacancy with a term expiring on March 31, 2011.

Application forms are available at: Burien City Hall (400 SW 152nd Street, Suite 300), or on the city’s website at www.burienwa.gov/boards.

Applications are being accepted through July 9, 2010.

The BEDP meetings are held the second Friday of each month from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at City Hall.
