B-TOWN BIZ: New Garden And Gift Store Opening In Burien
by Janet Grella
There’s a new Garden, Gifts and Home Decor store opening in the Burien/Normandy Park area in mid-July. It’s called Lavina Mays. The owners are Normandy Park residents Alan McGuire and Dennis Nash, also known as “the garden guys.”
Alan and Dennis have owned Alki Landscape Company in West Seattle for many years. The garden center will feature plants from annuals to perennials and even some exotic or unusual plants. All natural organic soils and pesticides will be available. The gift and home center will feature European Soaps and WoodWick candles, to name a few items.
Opening day will feature drawings and giveaways.
Lavina Mays will be located at 17824 1st Ave South in Burien by Curves. You know, in that part of Burien that everyone thinks is Normandy Park, but it’s not.
Stay tuned to the B-Town Blog and Normandy Park Blog for further updates as Dennis and Alan get close to putting the final touches on Lavina Mays.
