Faced with the reality of too much detail to process in just two weeks, Burien council members agreed Monday night (Aug. 2) to delay a public hearing on draft revisions updating the city’s Shoreline Master Program.
Long scheduled for Aug. 16, the public hearing on the Shoreline Master Program (SMP) will now be held on Monday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. The council will discuss the draft document – without public comment – at its Aug. 16 meeting.
The final council discussion of the SMP – followed by its likely adoption – may take place on Sept. 13.
