According to our friends at Burien Parks, it’s time to start thinking about Arts-a-Glow 2010, Burien’s Amazing Lantern Festival and Procession, which is coming Saturday, Sept. 18th (save the date!) from 5-10pm at Burien Town Square Park.

Here’s what they’d like our Readers to know:

This event is about you and the amazing lanterns you make and bring to the fest!  So check out our website for lantern making directions!

We will need lots of volunteers too so if you would like to help let me know!  We need volunteers for the lantern making booths, tea servers, greeters, info booth and more!

Come explore on this magical evening!  Make your own lantern and join the procession at dusk! We will have musicians and performers around every corner and tea and treats to be sampled too.

You can also sign up for one of the upcoming August Lantern Making Workshops (PDF file) at the Moshier Art Center. Lanterns can also be made earlier in the day at Kids Day at the Burien Fire Station.

Or make a lantern at home!
