Free Summer entertainment continues in Burien courtesy Burien Parks, this Friday night with “Music and Movies in the Park” transitioning to the “Movies” program, with “Tales of Desperaux” lighting up the big screen at Lake Burien School Park.

Showtime is “around dusk,” which is 8:30pm-ish, and it’s free. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and popcorn.

According to IMDB, Tales of Desperaux is:

The tale of three unlikely heroes – a misfit mouse who prefers reading books to eating them, an unhappy rat who schemes to leave the darkness of the dungeon, and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears – whose fates are intertwined with that of the castle’s princess.

It’s a cute, family-friendly animated movie that even the kids will love.
