Few days late, but here’s my review of the new Grand Central Bakery. 2/5 stars

Went there this morning with my girlfriend to test out the new bakery, and as I walked in it looked nice, very large, clean, and a friendly staff. Saw about 7 workers behind the counter and started perusing the choices. Selected a breakfast sandwich ($1.50 xtra for cheese so no thanx) and a mocha, Danish to share, she got the breakfast sandwich and a house coffee. I was taken back by the prices, but I’m willing to try anything once, you never know if it might be worth it. It wasn’t.
The mocha came out burnt and lukewarm, the Danish was baked to long, the biscuits were dry, not at all fluffy, and seriously lacking butter, and the sausage and egg was lacking in that oh so important ingredient, flavor. The house coffee was good though.

Unremarkable and bland and the thing that stands out the most was the price, too expensive for not enough return.

I bought some pizza dough, $2.95, and made my own at home. Best pizza dough you can buy, hands down.
