The Washington State Patrol reports that a 57-year old Burien man was arrested Sunday (Aug. 22) for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) after he was stopped by a Trooper for failing to wear his seatbelt.
Juan Alconini Carvajal was driving his 1995 Toyota 4-Runner on 1st Ave South in Burien when a trooper observed he was not wearing his seatbelt. The trooper stopped the 4-Runner and immediately detected that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The first indicator of Carvajal’s intoxication was the two 40-ounce beer bottles lying on the front seat.
Carvajal’s three-year old son was riding in the back seat.
Carvajal’s BAC level registered at a .102.
Carvajal was booked into the King County Jail on charges of DUI and Reckless Endangerment.
