Comedian Georgie Kunkel will perform her comedy shtick at Yo’s Bistro, located at 205 SW 152nd Street in Burien on Thursday, Sept. 23rd.

Georgie, 90, worked as one of the many “Rosie the Riveters” at Boeing in Seattle during World War II. She drilled holes in B-17 wing panels.

She is an emeritus member of the “Raging Grannies,” a group of “outrageous grannies who bring political awareness to the public by singing cutting edge parodies” (read her story “Why I Joined the Raging Grannies” here).

From what we hear, this 90-year old has “the spunk of a 30-something,” so this should be quite a show.

Georgie tells us:

The combo arrives at 7:00 p.m. for dancing and entertainment and I will be singing jazz somewhere in the first set and then doing comedy at intermission.

For more information, call Yo’s at 206 244-4084.
