The Burien Eagles Jr. Drill Team will be holding an Open House from 6:30pm – 8pm on Wednesday, Oct. 6th, and girls ages 7–20 are invited to come learn about them.

This will take place at Seahurst Elementary School, which is located at 14603 14th Ave SW.

According to the Seattle Drill Team Association website:

In November of 1998, the Burien Eagles Jr. Drill Team folded. 10 years later, two past members decided to re-establlish the team. In March of 2009 Burien came back! We started off with a strong core team of 15 girls. Adding and losing members throughout the year, we have spent the last year working on the basics. The girls have had a chance to travel around Washington marching in parades. They have made new friends, made it through their first officer try-outs, and got to celebrate the year with an awards banquet in December. As January rolled around they began practicing for competition. They are excited to see what new experiences they get to have this year. As instructors, we are excited to see what new things we can all teach each other.

Here are the event details:

I just want to say thank you B-Town Blog for posting these types of articles. Last spring I read an article about Youth Sounds Choir and signed my daughter up. She absolutely loves it and I would have never even known about it otherwise. I’ll be taking her to the open house on Wednesday too.
