Discover Burien Seeking To Help Two Community Events; Deadline Is Nov. 1st
The Discover Burien Association (we’re members) is looking for up to two community-based, local Burien events that could use some help in marketing, bookkeeping, insurance or other areas.
The deadline is Monday, Nov. 1st, so if you have an upcoming event set for 2011 you might want to act now.

The question of what Discover Burien can provide will depend on the event(s). At this point we could offer guidance on managing the event, marketing the event (include it on our 2011 Burien Events calendar – which goes to print in early December), run the funds through our bookkeeping services, provide insurance coverage, and help in getting volunteers. Requests will be run through our Marketing and Events Committee which will then make a recommendation to our Board of Directors during the November Steering Committee meeting on November 10th for their final decision.
Interested organizations will need to submit a letter of interest (or via email to [email protected]) by November 1st. Letters may be dropped off to the Discover Burien offices located at 620 SW 150th Street, Suite B (on the east side of the building). There is a mail slot to the right of the door.
