On a cold, clear Saturday night this past weekend, in the shadows of a graveyard near Southcenter Mall, something stirred in the darkness. Zombies. A horde of them. Fortunately they opted for the pepperoni pizza over human brains.
The occasion was an on-location photo shoot hosted by photographer Brian Morris, who teaches photography and related skills at Highline Community College in Des Moines, WA.
“My goal in arranging this was to show students and other photographers what it takes to put on a large scale photo shoot. And I also wanted to show them the steps using both photography and digital editing tools like Adobe Photoshop to create the final image that I envisioned,” said Morris about the session.
“Many photographers or those interested in photography don’t really know all that is involved in a full-scale photo shoot. The lights, the cables, the makeup and other logistics. What goes on behind the scenes. I wanted them to appreciate photography more and have fun doing it.”
BTB photographer Michael Brunk tagged along to observe the process and shoot a few photos of his own. He assembled this slideshow set to appropriately spooky music. Be sure to check your volume before clicking!
