Snow, wind and cold have forced the Burien City Council to cancel its scheduled 7 p.m. meeting this evening (Monday, Nov. 22).

City Manager Mike Martin said the meeting has been rescheduled for Nov. 29, which was an open Monday on the council’s schedule.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be preceded by a special session at 6 when members will interview the three remaining candidates to replace Kathy Keene, who is retiring effective Dec. 31.

They are:

  • Greg Duff
  • Andrea Reay
  • Gerald Robison

Council adoption of the city’s 2011-12 biennial budget, which was scheduled for this evening, is now expected to take place next Monday.
