A series of hoax telephone calls to the King County Sheriff’s Office 9-1-1 center about a gun “seen in the school” put both White Center’s Evergreen High School and the adjacent Cascade Middle School into lockdown mode Tuesday morning (Nov. 30th).

The schools are located at SW 116th St. and 8th Ave SW in White Center.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, the first call came in at 9:33am Tuesday morning. The caller claimed that there was an AK-47 in a locker at the school, and also stated “we need help quickly.” A total of five calls with variations on that theme came in.

The schools were placed in to lockdown and about 20 deputies and detectives arrived to block off access and search both locations. A weapon-sniffing K-9 dog was brought in to check lockers. Nothing was found.

The lockdown was lifted around 10:30am.

Detectives were able to track the cell phone to a student in the school, who was taken out of his class and arrested. His cell phone was seized. The student is 15-years old.

The boy was booked into the Youth Center on a threats charge.

  2. Lee Moyer says:

And the parents are responsible for restitution for staff and police time just as they would be for a broken window or vandalized car, right?

    • andrew says:

yes that would be the case if i wasnt already a foster kid and basically owned by the state so if they charged my legal gurdian it would be charging someone who worked for the state so in conclusion the state would be charging the state. and just to add i only went to juvi for two days for this little stunt and nothing else hey just let me walk free so HAHA

Andrew, you are a mean, stupid little punk and I hope others here feel the way I do…

You have wasted valuable time at the school, probably caused more than a few parents to lose time at work (time is $…guess you didn’t know that, did you, you little leech), took officers away from their already stretched schedules…you get the drift.

BTW-your foster parents are responsible for you…just as they are responsible for the food you eat and the clothes on your back. Poor investment I guess.

IMHO, the state is only responsible for finding you a new foster family as you ruin your chances with the last one.

I’m a taxpayer and you stole from me. Creep.
