Celebrating, Renovating, Giving & Launching At Advertiser Serenza Salon
Every so often we like to check in with our Advertisers to see “What’s Up?”
At Advertiser Serenza Salon and Spa there’s a lot up, including:
Annual Earth Month:
Instead of celebrating Earth Day on April 22, Serenza Salon and Spa celebrates an entire Earth Month. They have teamed up with Puget Soundkeeper Alliance to raise money to keep pollution out of the Puget Sound. They are hosting a raffle with great prices and products from Serenza, as well as gifts from local merchants. Raffle tickets are $1 for 1 ticket; $5 for 6 tickets and $10 for 13 tickets. You can buy your tickets at the Salon. Please make checks payable to Puget Soundkeeper Alliance.
Inside of New Serenza Salon and Spa is Demolished:
Recent completion of the demolition of the new Serenza Salon, which will be located at 118 SW 160th. Daniel tells us that he and Melinda have been swinging hammers, tearing down walls, removing carpet, and various other parts of the former chiropractic office.
“We are anxiously awaiting the approval of our plans and receiving building permits so that we can begin to build the most beautiful salon and spa in the area. Our target for completion and operating in the new space is sometime in June, ” said Daniel. Mike Halvorson of Raging River Construction is the contractor.
It’s been Daniel and Melinda’s life long dream to own a world class salon, and we have been assured that the new 3,000 space facility will be. We especially loved the picture of Melinda at work in the salon.
Serenza Salon Raises $400 for Red Cross:
Thanks to the hard work of Serenza Salon’s associates, the salon raised $400 on Saturday March 26 for the Red Cross and survivors of last month’s earthquake in Japan. Funds were raised by Serenza donating $5 from every service as well as cash donations.
New Products Now Available:
Liqwd Smoothing System: According to Serenza owner Daniel Keane, “Many of our salon clients have asked about Brazilian Blowouts and other Keratin Straightening systems and we are so thrilled to tell you that we now have a system that will smooth, not straighten, your curly or frizzy locks. It makes hair shiny and smooth and keeps it from going limp. There is NO formaldehyde added so there are no health risks to our team or our guests. We are the first in the area to offer Liqwd Hair Smoothing System. We will be offering a special introductory pricing for the first 100 people who would like to try this new system.”
