The invitation arrived late, but it was an honor to be invited to the Royal Wedding…even if it was in the library at BTB Advertiser Normandy Park Senior Living.

The pomp and circumstance that surrounded the wedding as well as the wedding itself was recorded during the middle of the night by Kim Parks and replayed Friday starting at 2pm on a 62-inch television for an audience of about 20 invited luminaries – residents, guests and staff.

It seemed appropriate that the Archbishop of Canterbury pronounced Wills and Kate  husband and wife as the clock in the library chimed half past the hour of 2. Meanwhile back at the ‘Park’, the bubbly was flowing, along with cucumber, tuna and egg salad aperitifs and wedding cake.

And here’s a little royal wedding tidbit for you……one of the residents, Ann Lucero, worked for a Seattle company that monogrammed the napkins and matches for Princess Elizabeth’s wedding to her Prince Charming back in 1947 (Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Will’s Grandparents).

There’s always something going on for the residents of Normandy Park Senior Living. Right now, be sure and check into their monthly move-in specials. You’ll find them at 16625 1st Ave S. in Normandy Park or at 206-241-0821.
