“B-Town’s residents are feeling downright bullish about their city’s future,” – Seattle Metropolitan Magazine’s May 2011 in an article ranking Burien as one of their top 20 Seattle Neighborhoods.

With news like this influencing Burien as not only a destination shopping area, but a destination living area, a group of local Real Estate professionals have formed a group that they are calling “B-Town Brokers.”  “Our goal is to introduce surrounding area brokers to our beautiful area and to their buyers,” organizing broker Susan Plecko told The B-Town Blog.

The B-Town Brokers currently consist of seven agents from four Burien located companies:

  • John L. Scott: Susan Plecko is joined by colleague Karen Williams
  • Lori Alden and Kristy Jacobs from Prudential Northwest
  • Susan Fromm and Leslie Newman from ReMax
  • Windermere’s Mary Kay Horton

If other real estate companies or agents are interested in joining the group they should contact Susan Plecko at 206-650-9626.

They also are working with the city, the parks and Discover Burien.

Their first order of business is to invite realtors from throughout the area to ‘B-Town Brokers Discover Burien: Living’ to be held on Thursday June 16. Up to 30 Burien homes and destinations will be on tour for these invited brokers and the public as well. The tour will include homes in Shorewood, Three Tree Point, Seahurst, Lake Burien, Gregory Heights as well as some of Burien’s parks and the new community center. The tour will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will finalize at the Prudential Northwest booth at the Thursday Farmer’s Market, where The B-Town Blog’s own Scott Schaefer will be drawing hundreds of dollars worth of prizes for the participating brokers and public who entered the drawings at the destinations.

“This will raise awareness of what Burien has to offer to surrounding area brokers,” explained Plecko.
