REMINDER: With nice weather finally breaking through (we can finally feel the sun’s radiant rays, can you?), it’s a great time of year to dust off your bicycle, slather up, helmet on and get out for some serious B-Town biking.

With that in mind, we’d like to remind our Readers of three great bike-related events happening this week:

  • Bicycles West will be holding a FREE bike tune-up clinic this Wednesday night, June 15th, from 6 – 8 p.m., and get this – in addition to providing free bike tune-ups, they’ll also be offering free Alaskan Amber beer. Wow.
  • The first-ever ‘Tour de Friends Ride’ Bicycle Night Out, a fundraiser for Para Los Niños (we’re Sponsors), will be held this Friday night, June 17th from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. starting at Mick Kelly’s Irish Pub. Cost will be $10 per Rider, or $20 per Family. There will be special deals at each stop, and each participant will be entered to win a Grand Prize of a very cool Alaskan Brewing Custom Cruiser bike.
  • The BTown Bike Fair is Saturday, June 18th at the Wild Strawberry Festival!

Bicycles West is located near the Fire Station at 804 SW 151st Street (206-242-7910), and Wednesday night’s free clinic will be a great way to get your bike in cruising form for both the Tour de Friends as well as the upcoming B-Town Bike Fair on Saturday, June 18th at the Wild Strawberry Festival (we’re Sponsors).

  1. webecops says:

Better send out the Bike Patrol…..I bet Mr. Martin will be riding his bike with trainer wheels…. ha ha

  2. Going to the Tune-Up on Wed? Rumor has it that Bicycles West’s hip new owners will be grilling up bratwurst to go with the complimentary Alaskan Brewery beers. They may even play some rock music. I can’t wait to see their completely new inventory of bikes. Give em’ another look.
