We promised you a batch of photos from last weekend’s Father’s Day Car Show and we aim to deliver! There were so many beautiful vehicles on display in downtown Burien that we couldn’t pick just a few photos.

BTB photog Michael Brunk assembled his favorite shots from the day and set them to public domain audio from a 1953 Chevrolet advertisement. Check your volume and then click the image below to launch a slideshow of images from last Sunday’s car show.

Nice pics…….sounds like Dinah Shore in the audio; can anyone verify?

Felt that the car show and the Strawberry Festival was the best ever; had a great time there with the family. Didn’t get to sample the food at the booths – lines were too long! Probably because Sunday was the better day of the two and that’s when more people showed up. Let’s hope that next year will have continuous sunny weather with hot temperatures. Was hoping to see more lowriders like those in Lowrider Magazine; they’re pretty cool-looking rides, too. Also, some custom bikes would be nice, too.

Also, to the people who own the Staples/Bartell’s parking lot: Yes, it may be a private lot, but come on, is it going to kill you to allow people to park there and enjoy the fair for a couple of days? They may even patronize some of the nearby businesses – it’s not like any shoppers couldn’t find a place to park! I parked elsewhere, but did see the flyers that they placed on everyone’s car in the lot. I thought government parking restrictions were bad, now we have snooty private business owners getting in on the act? Are YOU trying to drive business away, too?
