Latest Returns Show Krakowiak, Edgar Still Leading City Council Race
The second round of returns from Tuesday’s Primary Election are in, and incumbent Lucy Krakowiak has extended her lead with over 48% of the vote, and ‘non-candidate’ Bob Edgar still leads Gordon Shaw for City Council Position No. 4.
This is a “top two’ primary, which means the top two vote-getters in each category will move on to the General Election, which will be Nov. 8th.
Of course we’re still trying to sort out what might happen if Bob Edgar, who withdrew from the race June 20th (read our coverage here), actually wins – will he move on to the General Election Nov. 8th? Can he actually “win” a seat on the Burien City Council? Look for a followup story on that topic soon.
