The second Brat Trot ‘Hash’ was held in Olde Burien Sunday, Aug. 28th, and according to Organizer Chuck Tuman:

“The second Hash went off without a hitch yesterday. More folks joined in the fun of exercise and socializing on the Brat Trot route. Once again the group ended up at the Tin Room and enjoyed their food and drink specials!”

The next Hash is set for Sunday, Sept. 11th. If you’d like to participate, just put on your walking shoes and meet at 11 a.m. at the Masonic Building at 10th SW and SW 152nd in Olde Burien.

It’s a free event, and is meant to encourage residents to meet up, walk and talk, then eat and drink.

“That (Sept. 11th) will be such a nice day for folks to get together with folks they do like so much,” Tuman added. “A day to celebrate our friends and family.”

These “Hashes” are meant to promote the 3rd annualBrat Trot (we’re Sponsors) 5k run and 1.2 mile fundraiser walk, scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9thclick here for early bird registration (expires Aug. 31st so act fast).

“The Burien Brat Trot has quickly become one of South King County’s most fun and festive fall events!” reads the event website. “Beginning at 10:30 am on Sunday, October 9th the band will strike up and begins to play in Olde Burien. All day, event goers can enjoy brats, the beer garden, a german oompah band, booths and of course — the Chicken Dance!”
