PHOTOS: Arts-A-Glow Lights Up Burien’s Dottie Harper Park

If you missed Saturday night’s Arts-A-Glow lantern festival and procession you missed a fantastic family event on a perfect summer evening.

This year the festival moved to Dottie Harper Park behind the Burien Community Center — and while we love Town Square — the park setting provided a true sense of magic for this celebration of light and art.

We’ve already posted a video by Scott Schaefer but photographer Michael Brunk was also in attendance and captured the following photos. You can click individual thumbnails to view them larger.

    What a fabulous event! The setting was magical and all the creatures, the music, the singing was so wonderful – altogether a delightful suprise. We had such nice weather and all the lanterns were so beautiful. I really hope it happens again next year so I can spread the word. The only thing missing were the fantastical puppets from last year to join the owl…
