UPDATE 11/10/11: King County Elections released the latest, and most likely definitive returns for Tuesday’s election, and we can safely say that two anti-annexation candidates – Bob Edgar and Lucy Krakowiak – will be joining Jerry Robison on the three open Burien City Council seats in January, 2012.

The biggest surprise of course is that Edgar, who attempted to withdraw from the race, beat incumbent Shaw by over 21%.

Just a word out to Debi Wagner. Thanks for running. I voted for you and it was a pretty close election. Dont be disheartened by the results. Please do run again when Rose Clarks seat is up for re-election in 2013. We need folks like you in the City Council that have the interest of Burien City at heart.

Congratulations to the winners abd the losers… I think there are no losers in a race to serve your community. Now all of you go out and remove your election campaign signs from the roads… that would impress me most of all!
