Happy Thanksgiving From Everyone At The B-Town Blog!

We’re taking the day off to engorge ourselves with too much food, our families, as well as possible arguments at a big table, and just generally have a grand ol’ Thanksgiving together, so don’t expect any updates today.

Tomorrow of course (or tonight for you hard core shoppers) is ‘Black Friday,’ so if you’re out and about shopping, be sure to spend your money locally, right here in Burien to help our economy.

We’re thankful of course for all that makes The B-Town Blog churn along, including of course the most important aspect – YOU, the Reader!

Today is Thanksgiving Day but everyday I am grateful that I live in the greatest country the world has ever seen. Some of the reasons:
freedom to agree and disagree in public and in writing,
freedom to vote for the officials of my choice,
freedom to read whatever I enjoy and desire,
freedom to have and raise as many children my wife and I want and afford,
freedom to fail because that means I have opportunity to try and try again,

And I am grateful for all those fellow citizens who are willing to express their personal beliefs and ideas on this blog so that we all have a better idea of what is on the mind and in the heart of Burienites.

I am grateful that this civic blog was started and pray that it continues for a long time.
