UPDATE 5 p.m. 12/4/11: The Seattle P-I is reporting that a 14-month-old boy was sprayed by glass from a window broken during a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon at a Burien home.
The boy was not hurt when glass from a window shattered by several bullets fell onto him.
The shots apparently originated from a passing white Ford Explorer or pickup truck.
King County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the shooting in the 14200 block of 8th Ave. South (map below) around 2:25 p.m. Sunday, after receiving a call about shots being fired.
We first heard of this incident when King County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Cindi West Tweeted :
Drive by shooting 14200 block 8 Ave S Burien. 18 month old hit by glass from window. I’m heading that way now!
There’s no word yet on whether the shooting was gang related or not, but police say they don’t believe it was random because in order to shoot at the house, the vehicle had to turn down a dead end road.

Huh, Burien not White Center???
bet it’s still drug related…..
Sorry dude, not drug related. Nice try. But this couldn’t have happened in Burien, the crime capital of King County. And certainly never Gang related. Who would’ve thought there could be gang activity in the pristine City of Burien? And what if, how about the 14 month old, was he or she selliing? Come on. You can’t minimize this just because you think it’s about drugs. Do you know this mother, or her family? Try again.
