Power Outage Hits Burien Area

An ice storm has likely caused a power outage in the Burien area, cutting electricity (and precious Internet) for around 3,300 customs.

We’re one of them, and we’ll try to update the blog from our mobile devices, but don’t count on it!

Some will insist on iPad, but I prefer my Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet with data connection to T-Mobile 4g service…that way I can work without having to chase down a hotspot (referring technically as well as literally!) 🙂

Sigh, all I have is my smart phone,, But it works as long as it`s charged

Wondering if anyone knows if the power outage includes New Start High School @ Salmon Creek. I am current stuck in Normandy Park (steep icy driveway and hills) but will attempt the roads if my classroom lizard is at risk of freezing. Thanks for any info. Bev

Bev, I live nearby and we have power, although it has stopped for a very short time a couple times (had to reset clocks). If I can help frpm here, let me know.

Very kind of you Lee! Without a key and the security code, there is not much you could do. Other than verify lights on or not but still, my steep driveway in Normandy Park is a solid sheet of ice. If you live close and have power I am going to hope the school does too. I will head in as soon as the rains clear the roads. Again thank you much! Bev
