KOMO News is reporting that the three suspects in last Tuesday’s armed robbery of the Pawn X-Change in Burien (read our coverage here) are all facing first degree robbery charges.

The three charged – Deaundre Dillard, 18, Julian Holiwell, 19, and Zakee Woodard, 17 – stormed into the pawn shop Tuesday evening, fully armed and wearing dark clothing and black masks.

The suspects allegedly forced two employees to the ground and demanded money from a safe.

Reports are that a third employee who saw them enter hid behind a shelf and dialed 9-1-1.

A major police turnout ensued very quickly, with up to 40 police officers responding from several jurisdictions, along with a King County Sheriff’s SWAT team.

17, 18 and 19 years old…..still just kids. Sad. Hopefully doing some time will knock some sense into them before they end up dead.

WHat a shame and a waste, at least our law enforcement is at work, maybe we should move to White Center where the crime is Less? This is not suppose to happen in Burien, and the same day a bomb threat at the Social Security Office around the corner!!!!!

This business was targeted in Renton, White Center, and Burien. These guys found a place that had high value (Diamonds, Gold, Cash) and probably zero real security. I’m not too surprised that a pawn shop is targeted for robbery, I bet they are among the most robbed businesses in the State. So then we ask, should we allow pawn shops to operate in the city limits? Should they be allowed to operate only near Police precincts? Some citys like Las Vegas have followed through with ideas like these.
