Several King County Sheriff’s deputies and Burien Police officers responded to a fight Thursday night (MARCH 22) at the Burien Transit Center.

Two Medic cars also responded to the incident, which apparently occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Traffic along SW 148th Street was slowed and it appeared that some Metro bus service was delayed.

There were no immediate reports of shots fired or of any injuries.

We will have an update with confirmed details.

This is the latest in an almost weekly string of violent incidents in Burien – several of those involved have not been local residents.

Sounds like a perfect time to make our city larger and stretch our already thin resources a little further.

Maybe we don’t have to worry about annexation….isn’t it the people of White Center who vote to be annexed? After all these incidents, they probably don’t want to have any part of us!

If you want a show there is no need to go to the movies… just hang out at the transit station for an afternoon or early evening. It is best if you go on a clear day during the work week.

You will get to watch boys/men urinate at the bike storage boxes, watch as losers try to shake loose the bike racks by kicking them over and over. You can see a real life drug dealings and drug use go down right in front of your eyes and you get to watch the drunks stumble around.

If your into the arts you can always see the “Urban Taggings” along the parking garage (yup, all the way at the top on the North end) and along the light poles and back side of the gas station car wash. There is also what I call “yard art”. Yard art consists of all the garbage that ends up basically in the yard. All around the parking lot and in all the bushes and along the walkway.

The fighting is nothing new. I have watched as two people went full blow to blow as their friends circled around to encourage them. They even had spotters on the top of the parking garage to yell down to them when the PD was coming.

All I can do is protect my wife and myself as I know there is not anyone else that is going to.
