Discover Burien Board Elections will be April 28; Deadline to Apply is Wed.
Discover Burien’s Annual Membership and Board Elections meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 at the Southgate Masonic Hall, located at 1004 SW 152nd Street in Olde Burien.
At this annual meeting, Discover Burien will conduct its election for Board positions, and they’re still looking for candidates. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 (DISCLAIMER: Publisher/Editor Scott Schaefer is member of the Board of Discover Burien).
“Any member in good standing of the Association has a right to run for a position on the Board of Directors,” reads an announcement. “Such member will need to submit a petition signed by nine members in good standing of the Association 20 days in advance of the annual meeting. Since this year’s annual meeting is scheduled for April 24, 2012, the petition must be submitted to the Association’s office no later than 11:59 PM, April 4, 2012.”
