Burien Nursing & Rehabilitation (an Advertiser here on The B-Town Blog) reports a wonderful response to their recent celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

“Not only were nearby bars and pubs enjoying the fun and excitement of St. Patrick’s Day, but so were the residents and family members of Burien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,” said Katie Olson, Burien N & R Community Relations and Marketing Director.

Burien Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a five-star rated skilled nursing facility located off of Ambaum Boulevard SW on SW 130th Street in Burien.

“Director of Activities, Nataliya Oganova, began preparing in February for what might have been Burien Nursing’s most exciting and well attended St. Patrick’s Day party it’s seen in years,” said Olson.

Residents and family members enjoyed entertainment provided by three Irish dancers from Fire and Ice Irish Dance Company located in Federal Way.

Following the dancers, Oganova provided an upbeat game of St. Patrick’s Day trivia and history of Irish tradition while serving snacks and beverages to the attendees.

Margo Wenstad, an invaluable volunteer of Burien Nursing & Rehab, played light background piano music to top off the energy and joy that was lingering in the dining and activities room throughout the afternoon.

“With over 50 people in attendance, Burien Nursing and Rehab is proud to say that despite the older age demographics of the partygoers, they too know how to host a party and have a good time!” reported Olson.
