With a snip of the giant scissors, Curiosity Corner School celebrated their grand-opening on Thursday with a ribbon cutting at their new location on the corner of 1st Avenue South and SW 156th Street in Burien.

The new location is the result of eight months of hard work and renovations, including many weekends of labor by staff members. The culmination of this effort is a beautiful new facility that includes classrooms divided by age group and an outdoor play area in an enclosed courtyard.

Founded in 1985, Curiosity Corner School is a non-profit corporation with the mission to “provide a program where children are comfortable to explore and grow intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and physically.” Family support is also a key focus.

You can visit the new location at 15525 1st Ave South or learn more at their website.

I worked with them for a few months about 6 years ago. Wonderful staff and awesome kids. Some of the kids, to this day, STILL remember me and I love that. 🙂 I wish them the best in their new location! 🙂
