Schedule, Map Released for Thursday’s Student Art Walk in Downtown Burien

As we first reported a few weeks ago, Burien Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services will be celebrating Art Education Month by holding a Student Art Walk from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. this Thursday, May 3.

“Visit downtown Burien on Thursday, May 3rd, from 5 – 8pm to find fabulous visual and performing arts!” reads an announcement.

On display will be student artwork, like that seen in the poster above by Jose Cisneros, an 11th grader at Global Connections High School.

Here are the details:

WHAT: FREE Student Art Walk to Celebrate Art Education Month.

WHERE: SW 152nd from 4th-10th SW in downtown Burien.

WHEN: Thursday, May 3rd, 5 – 8 p.m.

Performance Schedule:

  • 5:00-5:30: Burien Library (400 SW 152), Clara McMichael, Mt Rainier Harpist
  • 6:15-6:30: New City Dance (408 SW 153), Mt. Rainier Latino Club Dancers
  • 6:40-7:00: Cross Fit (819 SW 152nd), Mt Rainier Pacific Islanders Club
  • 7:00-7:15: Cross Fit (819 SW 152nd), AAA High School Dancers
