PHOTOS: Sure Sign(s) Summer on its way – 3 Tree Point Fireworks Signs Go Up
[DISCLAIMER: BTB Publisher/Editor Scott Schaefer serves as Co-Chair of the Three Tree Point Fireworks Fund.]
Thursday (May 10), two sure sign(s) that summer is on its way suddenly appeared in Burien, as volunteers for the 2012 Three Tree Point Fireworks Fund risked life and limb to install two fireworks fund update signs for the annual 4th of July event.
The goal for the 2012 fund is $25,000, all of which goes towards the cost of professional pyrotechnics, security, cleanup, a party and other assorted admin costs, and online fundraising has already begun – just click here to easily, securely and quickly donate online with a credit card.
“We encourage anyone who’s ever enjoyed the 4th on Three Tree Point to donate what they can,” said Co-Chair Scott Schaefer. “This is a long-standing tradition for one of the greatest neighborhoods in the Northwest that we must keep alive, but the only way to do so is through donations.”
Businesses are also being encouraged to donate as Sponsors, with a June 15 deadline – read more about that drive here.
Also, be sure to save the date – Friday, June 1 – for the first-ever ‘Three Tree Pint Cocktail Crawl’! Details to come soon!
Volunteer Mike Keenan put the signs up, and Co-Chair Laura Beth Peterson was on hand to help Thursday, and she took these pics:
