Got Your Hats Ready Yet Race Fans? ‘Hats on for Highline’ is this Saturday!

The Highline Medical Center Foundation’s [1] annual ‘Hats on for Highline’ fundraiser will be held from Noon – 5 p.m. this Saturday, May 19 at Emerald Downs, and this year guests will enjoy a private suite, gourmet buffet, silent auction, exclusive betting booths, a raffle, and of course LOTS of hats (and contests)!

BTB Publisher/Editor Scott Schaefer will serve as MC/Host, and he’ll undoubtedly be wearing many silly hats.

But this event is not just about creative hats – it’s at a great horse track, on the day of the Preakness Stakes [2], the second leg of the Triple Crown! Will ‘I’ll Have Another’ win this race? The only way to really find out is to attend this great sporting event. Oh, and men, no worries about dressing fancy – you can wear a baseball cap!

“As our most unique annual event, Hats On for Highline is the perfect mixture of fun, excitement and philanthropic spirit,” reads a note on their website [3]. “Adorned with fabulous, creative race day hats, attendees to our Emerald Downs event enjoy a private viewing facility, gourmet buffet, exclusive bidding booths and the opportunity to participate in a silent auction and raffle. While not all will have the luck of the horses behind them, everyone is sure to walk away a winner knowing they help raise funds to ensure that our community members have access to compassionate, quality healthcare. This increasingly popular event will celebrate its 4th year running in 2012.”
