Family-owned Burien business The Yarn Stash, located at 615 SW 152nd Street, announced that they are not renewing their lease, and are therefore closing.

“The time has come to say ‘Good-Bye’ as we have decided not to renew our lease,” they announced in their most recent newsletter. “Bonnie is retiring so she can spend more time with her grandkids.”

Bonnie says she “started knitting at the age of six and I have been clicking needles together ever since.” She also said on the company’s website:

“Owning a yarn shop was always my dream and now, with Beth’s help, my dream has come true.”

Daughter Beth has been knitting for a little over 6 years and crocheting since she was a little girl.

According to their website:

“We are a family owned yarn shop located in the heart of Burien, WA – just one mile west of SeaTac Airport,” reads their website. “Bonnie and Beth (mother and daughter) will be glad to help you with all your knitting and crocheting needs. Our hope is that all knitters, crocheters and fiber artists will feel welcome in our shop. If you aren’t yet a knitter, stop by and see what all the fuss is about. Please feel free to drop by anytime and knit. We have a comfortable sitting area for all to use.”

The Yarn Stash is located at 615 SW 152nd Street, and their phone number is 206-246-2727.
