Burien/White Center Rotary Awards $10,500 in Scholarship Money

Last week, the Rotary Club of Burien/White Center awarded $10,500 in Scholarship money to local students at a special luncheon.

In all, some 15 scholarships were handed out in a ceremony at Angelo’s Restaurant in Burien.

Here’s a list of the winners:

  • Walter O. Carsten Memorial Scholarship: Mustafa Bullo, Evergreen Campus
  • Dick Dahlgard Memorial Scholarship: Robert Rink, Highline High
  • Dr. Frank Tanaka Memorial Scholarship: Mercy Kiniu, Puget Sound Skills Center

Rotary Scholarships:

  • Theresa Cunningham, Kennedy Catholic
  • Meegan Smith, Kennedy Catholic
  • Katrina Adame-Meza, Highline High
  • Kily Nhan, Highline High
  • Michelle Chen, Evergreen Campus
  • Alba Cruz-Lopez, Evergreen Campus
  • Damon Jay Cunninghan, Evergreen Campus
  • Michael Juan, Evergreen Campus
  • Michael Nguyen, Evergreen Campus

Service Above Self Awards:

  • Rebekah Sanders, Kennedy Catholic
  • Hersimran Ahlywalla, Highline High
  • Michelle Chen, Evergreen Campus
