Burien’s Annual Wild Strawberry Festival is Underway, and We’re ‘Blogging Live’!

Burien’s annual Wild Strawberry Festival (we’re a Sponsor) has started at Town Square Park, and we’re there, blogging live!

It runs from 10 a.m. –  6 p.m. today (Saturday, June 16) and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday (Father’s Day, June 17).

Come get a FREE SoKing Internet Radio (SKiR) oval car sticker at our booth!

As usual, your original (and award-winning) B-Town Bloggers are in a tent located just to the east of the Main Stage near the City Hall/Library building, where we’re playing all-local music from SoKing Internet Radio, handing out FREE SKiR oval car stickers as well as Jolly (not Billy) Ranchers!

Here’s the schedule:

SATURDAY, June 16:

Town Square Stage (152nd & 5th)
10:00 – 10:30am: Momentum Dance
10:45 – 11:30: Highline Community Symphonic Band
11:45 – 12:15pm: New City Dance
12:30 – 1:15pm: Youth and Senior Chiors of Northwest Associated Arts
1:30 – 2:30pm: The Jangles (who can also be heard on SoKing Internet Radio)
3:00 – 4:00pm: Global Heat
4:30 – 6:00: Strawberry Jam Break Dance Battle (NOTE: participants must register by 12:30 p.m.)

Wandering Performers:
10:30 – Noon: Blues with PK Dwyer (who also gets played on SoKing Internet Radio)
Noon – 2:00pm: Mariachi Fiesta Mexicana
Noon – 4:00pm: Stiltwalking by Just Sage

SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Burien Parks and Recreation Demo Tent: (where they’ll be selling “I ♥ Burien” T-shirts for $15): Get a sneak peek at what’s coming up at the Burien Community Center this summer and fall! Exciting class demonstrations showcasing Zumba, Enhance & Sitting Fit, 3 R’s of Fitness, Container Gardening, Dahn Yoga, Vovinam, Birthday Party Packages, Ballroom Dancing, Salsa, Park Bootcamp, Fit Xpress, Stroller Fitness and much more!  Don’t know what some of them are, come find out, and you might even get gift just for stopping by!

  • Strawberries & Sunshine!:A Family Story Time Saturday June 16th at 12:30pm. Come to the 1st floor story time room inside the Burien Library for stories, songs and much more. For children and their adults.
  • eReader & Digital Downloads Demonstration: Saturday June 16th  & Sunday June 17th    in the Library Lobby , 1-3pm. Learn how to download KCLS eBooks to your eReader or computer during this digital downloads demo. Drop in to look at popular eReaders, Overdrive and Adobe Digital Editions software, and get your questions answered.

And all weekend long:
