Along with all the other exciting events that happened this past weekend, the WABI Burien folks held a special Father’s Day Bike SaFaRi (Safe Family Ride).
The ride started at the Wild Strawberry Festival in Town Square Park and looped north through quiet neighborhoods and parks for a gentle 3.5 miles.
Since we had our Blog-O-Cycle at the festival, BTB photog Michael Brunk tagged along shooting a time-lapse video made up of still photos taken every 2 seconds using a GoPro 960 camera mounted to his bicycle.
The video has a musical soundtrack, so adjust your volume and click to play!

Hey! Great fun. It looks like there were about a dozen cyclists on the ride! (Hard to get a head count when they were whizzing by so fast on the video.) Thanks for joining the SaFaRi with the Blog-O-Cycle, Michael. (Next time you’ll have to get in front of everyone at least once and get their faces instead of their backends!)
Is that what we’re calling you now: “Blog-O-Cycle Michael”?
Thanks for doin’ video! Wish I could have been there.
Well done Michael! I love how the punk-a-billy(?) music makes us look so tough! We’ll have to start brainstorming now for the July route. I’d love to see what story that camera tells going through the SeaTac BMX track!
