Help Exchange Club of Highline ‘Wipe Out’ Toilet Paper Shortage Saturday
This Saturday (June 23), the Exchange Club of Highline is hoping to ‘wipe out’ local toilet paper shortages – they’re holding a Toilet Paper drive to support area food banks.
“We need you to get behind us!” they told The B-Town Blog. “No buts about it, we need your support for this event.”
This Saturday – from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Exchange Club members will be at the 5-Corner Albertson’s and Trader Joe’s, collecting toilet paper and cash for our three area food banks – White Center, Highline and Des Moines.
Food banks say that toilet paper is a much-needed item on their shelves. Those in need can use food stamps to buy food but not other necessities like toilet paper. At last year’s TP drive (read our coverage here), more than 10,000 rolls of toilet paper were donated thanks to great community help and the Exchange Club.
While you’re out shopping or running errands on Saturday, drop by Albertson’s or Trader Joe’s and buy some toilet paper to help our community.
Cash donations will also be accepted.
If you would like to donate but can’t make it on Saturday, send your check made out to the Exchange Club to
