BTB Contributor Brett Fish sent us the following pics of a coyote he found napping in his yard near the Sylvester Road Bridge on Sunday, July 1 (click images to see larger versions):
“A lazy Sunday afternoon for this coyote caught napping in my yard,” Fish said. “Coyotes primarily eat rodents keeping them in check but can be dangerous particularly in a pack or protecting their young. If they get hungry enough they will hunt cats, small dogs, rabbits, moles and gophers competing with the hawks and bald eagles.”
