King County Sheriff’s Officer Shoots Suspect in SeaTac Thursday Morning

The King County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a Deputy shot at a robbery suspect driving a car towards him Thursday morning near a mosque located at the corner of South 150th Street and 30th Avenue South in SeaTac (map below).

According to Sgt. Cindi West of the KCSO, around 8 a.m., the suspect attacked a man who was walking into a mosque for his morning prayers, then stole his car keys and wallet before running off.

Police arrived on the scene as the suspect was leaving in the victim’s car. He then drove the car towards a female officer, who eluded him. Her male partner opened fire on the car, hitting the suspect in the shoulder.

The suspect was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He is expected to survive.
