“National Night Out,” the evening where residents are invited to join friends and neighbors to talk about crime prevention, will be Tuesday, Aug. 7.

“The eyes and ears of neighbors are often the best weapon against burglaries and other neighborhood crime.”

This is a great way to get to know your neighbors, local police officers, and talk about crime prevention and ways to keep everyone safe.

Contact the Burien Police Department to register your event or get help planning an event:

CSO Nicki Maraulja at [email protected] or call (206) 296-3333.

Hi, Nathan– my understanding of National Night Out is that there is no single location– you can get together with your neighbors and invite reps from local law enforcement to stop by and meet you all and answer questions, etc.

      Hi Nathan,
This National Program is where the Block Watches in the neighborhoods get together with there neighbors, members of Law Enforcement and others to send a message to bad guys that the neighborhood is is a community of people that look out for one another and will report any suspicious activity.
I am on the steering committee for the Burien Block Watch program coordinating with the Burien Police Department and would be happy to answer any other questions that you might have.
