Burien-based ChoralSounds Northwest announced that they will be holding auditions for their upcoming Fall concert starting Aug. 25.

“Rediscover the fun of singing by joining ChoralSounds Northwest (CSN),” reads an announcement. “New members are especially welcome to this Burien-based mixed-voice adult chorus that performs traditional choral music as well as new arrangements with a decidedly theatrical style. Be a part of the exciting renaissance of Burien’s own ChoralSounds Northwest, under the gifted direction of new Artistic Director Brian J. Winnie.”

Auditions will be held by appointment between Aug. 25 – Sept. 30. Persons interested in auditioning may contact 206.246.6040 or e-mail [email protected]. Rehearsals begin on Aug. 28 and are held every Tuesday from 7 p.m. until 9:15 p.m.

Auditions will be held at Glendale Lutheran Church in Burien.

Membership dues for singers are $60 for the quarter, and scholarships are available.

CSN’s 2012-13 season will include four concert runs, including the return of a Masterworks Performance in June which includes John Rutter’s Requiem and Gloria, as well as the popular Christmas and Spring concerts.

More Information about ChoralSounds Northwest is available at http://www.nwassociatedarts.org/csn/aboutchorus.asp, or by calling 206.246.6040.
