It may be Seafair Weekend in Seattle, but there’s plenty of local haps to keep B-Towners close to home (and away from the traffic and parking nightmares), with a garage sale, ‘Jazz on the Lawn,’ the premiere of BLT’s ‘Anna in the Tropics,’ the Des Moines Farmers Market, an open house (with live chickens!) at the White Center Food Bank, a chance to meet the new mural Artist, the one-year anniversary ‘Walk-n’Talk’ and much more!

Also don’t forget that tonight – Thursday, Aug. 2 – you can catch the acclaimed local jazz band Pearl Django for FREE at Lake Burien School Park starting at 6:30 p.m. (more info here).

Here are this weekend’s B-Town Haps:

FRIDAY, AUG. 3:

SUNDAY, AUG. 5:

If we had hydroplane races in Burien I would have no reason to ever leave.

    • My dream is to see the Miss Burien race around Lake Burien, spraying its classic roostertail over all the residents.

That would be the penultimate Burien experience in my book.
