BTB Advertiser Germaine’s Country Kitchen is serving as a drop-off location for the recent Cle Elum wild fires, which burned at least 60 homes in Central Washington.

“We are teaming up with Al’s Glass in north Seattle to help,” Owner Jacki Cote told The B-Town Blog. “We are asking for help for firefighters, like Gatorade, water, personal items, etc., for victims of the fire, as well as for helping displaced animals.”

Donations of items for victims, firefighters, as well as canned and dry pet food, can be made at Germaine’s Kitchen, located at 127 SW 153rd Street in Burien.

And apparently there’s a local angle as well.

“We do have two of our local firemen on the line,” Jacki said.

You can also bring a check or cash for the Red Cross.

“If everyone would donate $5.00, we could make a huge difference,” she added.

Germaines is open from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., and will be taking donations for the next four days.
