It’s Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Day! Come Rock Out & Help a Great Local Cause!
Today – Saturday, Aug. 25 – is the third annual Poverty Bay Blues & Brews Festival, from Noon – 8 p.m. at Des Moines Beach Park!
Presented by the Des Moines Rotary Club, this annual event is the prime fundraiser for Rotary’s Music4Life program, which aims to expand music to youth in our local schools.
“Enjoy a day filled with local blues together with a variety of fine brews from local breweries,” reads an announcement. “To complement your blues and brews, we will be barbecuing Bratwurst and B&E Market’s famous Tri Tip for your dining enjoyment.”
Tickets will be available at the door for $30 per person, which includes six tasting tokens. All beer tastings this year will be just one Token!
We’ll be there on behalf of our sister site The Waterland Blog, “blogging live,” so come find us and get a FREE WTRLND oval car sticker!
A free shuttle service will be moving people from the marina to the park – read more about that here.
